Methods: The chosen method is the functional muscle test for testing muscle strength and for shortened muscles, according to Janda, specifically focused on the shoulder girdle. Based on the chosen method, the results in the given movements of the shoulder joint and scapula were analyzed. Results: Testing was recorded in tables created in Excel, which contained all movement actions in the shoulder girdle test and the degrees by which the dominant and non- dominant limb were assessed. The final table summarizes all the testing from the previous tables and a comparison of movement between the dominant and non- dominant limb. Based on the final evaluation, a brief proposal of compensatory exercises was created, focused on the analyzed movement disorders and imbalances. Hlaváčková, Anna ; Pánek, David (advisor) ; Stupková, Michaela (referee)
Title: Use of virtual reality to evaluate the dynamic postural stability in beachvoleyball players Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate if the dynamic postural stability of trained beachvoleyball players is affected by training. Also I tried to evaluate, if the final score of equilibrium will be higher, than in regular population. For testing was also used virtual reality to stimulate vestibular apparatus. Virtual reality was used as a disturbing element. NeuroCom Smart Equi Test was used as an evaluation factor of dynamic postural stbility. Methods: The research involved a total of 20 females - 10 beachvoleyball players and 10 healthy persons performing activities of daily living. We investigated dynamic postural stability on device called NeuroCom Smart Equi Test. For evaluation of dynamic postural stability was used Head Shake Test - Sensory Organisation Test. This test was taken twice, second time after intervetion by virtual reality. Data were analyzed by statistical t-test method. Result: Statisticly significant result was found only in the case of a Sensory Organisation Test condiition 5 and 6 in comparison between both groups and Head Shake test-SOT2 in latero- lateral movement of the head at the controle group. The results confirmed the effect of playing beachvoleyball on...

Title Comparison of selected parameters of function and shape of the foot in volleyball and beach volleyball women players Objectives The goal of this thesis is to find out if there are differences in chosen parameters for competitively playing volleyball and beach volleyball women players. Compare the influence of the sports footwear and hard surface court on the shape and function of the foot with the bare foot on the sand in technically similar sports. Methods The research involved 10 women playing volleyball and 10 women playing beach volleyball. All the players were 19 - 34 years old and all were regularly playing at competitive level. Selected monitored parameters were the quality of perception of sensation in the foot, foot arch shape evaluated by using plantogram and examination postural stability by using the Véle test. The test results were evaluated in both sports separately and then compared with each other. Results The results of this thesis show better readings in all investigated tests in both lower limbs at beach volleyball women players. Only in the case of the shape of the foot arch test on the left foot was the result statistically significant. Other selected parameters in shape and function of beach volleyball women players feet did not show plausible statistical difference....

Hercogová, Simona ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Jahodová, Gabriela (referee)
This bachelor thesis called "Anthropometric parameters as factors affecting the performance of beach volleyball players"discusses the importance of anthropometry to evaluation of individual performances of beach volleyball players. Beach volleyball has become more and more popular. It is mostly due to new financial resources which have contributed to professionalisation of this sport; on the other hand, it has become more demanding. Hence, there is room for implementation of scientific methods, anthropometry is of particular importance. The aim of this thesis is to examine to what extent anthropometric parameters influence the performance of beach volleyball players. In this research, I employ chosen somatic and motoric measures which are later applied to beach volleyball players of same performance categories. Results of this research may serve as a practical material for coaches of beach volleyball or volleyball. Its particular use might be in the selection of appropriate playing partners or in the creation of training schedule.
